And tell you I shall. Because I'm pretty much speechless right now. All I shall say is please keep the characters animated like this, and not in a Pixar-y Up or WALL:E kind of way? Because I love these two just as they are! (Even if Elphaba doesn't look like an animated Idina Menzel, I can deal with that because she looks perfect).

So basically an incredible artist at Disney has put this story-board together and would love for Stephen Schwartz (the guy who wrote the music & lyrics to Wicked) to give the thumbs up and turn it into a Disney film (as an adaptation of the musical, not the book obviously. The book's not quite as Disney friendly but the musical is perfect). And wow does it look good! Elphie & Galinda look absolutely perfect here and you have to admit, she has talent. The way she's drawn it, to having the idea of swooping over the Ozians like that is brilliant and then closing in a Hercules-esque way is great.
I hope you're happy in the end. I hope you're happy my friend.
(Amy and I before she flies to Oz, except she's going by aeroplane)
The music you can hear (and the lyrics posted) are both by Stephen Schwartz and are from Wicked (duh) and Disney film The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I think she's added the music perfectly too. To check out her blog, click here. Who knows, hopefully one day (very very soon) Stephen will see this and we'll have a great musical animated film again (having said that, I did really enjoy The Princess and the Frog. Maybe something on that level of visually amazing?)
"You may think that she's commanding her monkey minions with the wave of her hand, but you'd be wrong. She's actually reaching for her hat that flew off frame when she decided to try defying gravity."
All of the images here belong to Heidi Gilbet and all of the music & lyrics belong to Stephen Schwartz.
Love love love, Galinda xxx
